We’re now looking for a MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of MEP systems in construction projects. Your role will involve coordinating with subcontractors, leading a team of technicians, and ensuring that MEP works are executed according to project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations. Your hands-on supervision and technical expertise will be essential in maintaining the integrity and functionality of MEP systems throughout the construction process.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Coordination: Lead a team of MEP technicians and subcontractors to ensure the timely and quality installation of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems. Coordinate work activities, assign tasks, and monitor progress to meet project milestones.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections and quality checks to verify that MEP installations comply with design drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
- Identify any deviations or deficiencies and coordinate corrective actions with the project team.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations and best practices on the construction site. Conduct safety briefings, inspections, and audits to prevent accidents, injuries, and property damage.
- Materials Management: Coordinate the delivery, storage, and handling of MEP materials, equipment, and components. Ensure that materials are properly stored, protected, and utilized according to project requirements and manufacturer recommendations.
- Work Planning and Scheduling: Develop work plans and schedules for MEP installations in coordination with the project manager and other stakeholders. Allocate resources, set priorities, and adjust schedules as needed to meet project deadlines and milestones.
- Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and support to MEP technicians on installation methods, procedures, and troubleshooting techniques. Resolve technical issues and challenges encountered during MEP works.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of MEP installations, inspections, and testing activities. Prepare daily progress reports, work logs, and as-built drawings to document project activities and facilitate communication with stakeholders.
- Team Training and Development: Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance the skills and knowledge of MEP technicians. Mentor junior staff members and promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
- Client Communication: Interact with clients, consultants, and other project stakeholders to address inquiries, provide updates, and resolve any concerns related to MEP works. Ensure that client expectations are met and that any changes or variations are properly communicated and documented.
- Conflict Resolution: Manage conflicts and disputes that may arise among team members, subcontractors, or other stakeholders. Facilitate open communication, negotiate resolutions, and escalate issues as necessary to maintain project progress and morale.
Qualifications and Experiences:
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical en-gineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in MEP installation and supervision, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, construction methods, and building codes.
Competencies (Technical & Soft Skill):
- Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse workforce.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting MEP drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and best practices in con-struction.
- Certification or training in MEP systems installation or supervision is a plus.
