Position: Project Manager
Section: Construction
Report to: Project Manager
Responsible for: Sales Project
Department: Project Management

Your Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the activities of work crews engaged in erecting structural steel buildings according to the company’s erection guidelines.

  • Plan and schedule project activities, resources, and equipment, and monitor project progress and performance.

  • Evaluate and select qualified subcontractors for erection work, and provide them with the necessary documents, instructions, and supervision.

  • Communicate and coordinate with the sales department to handle any site problems, claims, or variation orders from the customers.

  • Communicate and coordinate with the technical department to provide site technical services and support before and during erection3.

  • Communicate and coordinate with the financial department to issue site progress reports and payment progress claims according to the contract terms.

  • Conduct regular meetings with the internal departments, customers, subcontractors, and site personnel to ensure effective communication and problem-solving.

  • Obtain minutes of acceptance from the customers upon project completion and follow up with any feedback or is-sues.

  • Obtain clear and meaningful photos of the project during erection and after completion and send them to the mar-keting department for promotion purposes.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, environmental, and legal standards, and regulations.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in steel building erection or structural steel fabrication/erection.

  • Knowledge of steel building design, fabrication, erection, and inspection standards and practices.

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and contracts.

  • Proficient in using computer software such as MS Office, MS Project, AutoCAD, etc.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Willingness to travel to various project sites as required.

  • Good command of English, and Chinese.
