Position: Project Manager
Responsible for: Construction
Section: Design-Build
Department: Project Management
Report to: CEO
Location: Fuxin HQ

Key Responsibilities:

 

1. Post-construction.
  • Lead the coordination meetings and discussions with project committee, related departments, and parties for design/budget and tender.
  • Understand the project nature and collaborate with engineers and architects to determine the specifications within the budget of the project
  • Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.
  • Mobilize and manage relevant resources to ensure project milestones are met by collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Manage and ensure unbiased pre-tendering stage of construction.
  • To ensure all signed contracts are strong to control the entire project during construction.

 

2. During-construction.
  • PM protocols full implementation.
  • Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met.
  • Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies.
  • Oversee and evaluate the work of contractors and subcontractors are up to quality standards, designs and project deadlines.
  • Ensure that all health and safety issues are regularly assessed and if incidents arise they are addressed within the stipulated time frames.
  • Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports.
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues at all times
  • Monitor and control the construction budget and communicate cost variations to seniors in a timely manager and makes recommendations to contain cost overruns.
  • Control the construction operation – Timeline/submissions/Inspections and safety.
  • Promote and maintain a harmonious working environment within the department and other departments.
  • Contract administration.
  • Be a role model in all work aspects.

 

3. Post-construction.
  • PM protocols full implementation.
  • Assess the project for practical completion or penalty close.
  • Workflow implementation for defects/rectifications and handing-over exercise.
  • Control and monitor the liability period.
  • Conduct evaluation exercise with QS and contractors for final accounts.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Project Management/Civil/Structure Engineering or Architecture.
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years’ experience in a similar position.
  • Computer software literacy – MS Office/MS Project/CAD.
  • Basic training course achievement in Quality Control/Safety and management.
